Where Girls with Dreams Become Women
of Vision
Mercy Academy admits students into grades 9-12.
Incoming freshmen can begin the admission process
by taking the Catholic High School placement test
at Mercy. The placement test is held on the second
Saturday in December and begins at 9:00 a.m. The
test results are used, along with recommendations
from eighth grade teachers and parents, to place
a student in the appropriate level(s) of courses.
Additional admission and registration information
follows for everyone that takes the placement test
at Mercy.
Mercy Academy admits students of any race, color,
national and ethnic origin to all rights, privileges,
programs and activities generally accorded or made
available to students at our school. We do not discriminate
on the basis of color, national and ethnic origin
in administration of its educational policies, admissions
policies, scholarships or assistance programs, or
athletic and other school-administered programs.
Students with disabilities who apply for admission
will be judged on a case-by-case basis and will
be accepted if Mercy, with reasonable accommodations,
can meet programmatic needs.
- Shadowing
Mercy Academy invites and encourages
prospective students to spend a day at Mercy
with our shadowing program. Through this
program, students see a typical school day
with one of our students. Shadowing is one
of the most popular ways of truly seeing
what Mercy is like and if Mercy is the high
school of choice. Current eighth graders are
welcome to shadow in the fall and seventh
graders during the spring. Come see if Mercy
is the place for you! To set up a shadowing
day, contact Heather Blazis by phone
502-671-2021 or via e-mail at
heather.blazis@mercyacademy.com. You can also schedule a
shadowing day online by going to schedule to
a shadow day under the quick links.
- Open House
Mercy hosts an annual open house for
prospective students and their families. The
open house is held each year in November on
Saturday prior to the Thanksgiving holiday.
Open House gives parents and students the
chance to meet our administration, faculty,
and staff, hear about our programs while
receiving a personalized tour of the school by
one of our students. For more information
about open house, please contact the Mercy
Development Office at 671-2021.
- Transfer Students
Students interested in
entering Mercy during their sophomore,
junior or senior year, must contact Mercy at
671-2010 for a transfer packet. This packet
of information must be completed and
returned prior to consideration for
acceptance to Mercy. All transfer student
information is reviewed and enrollment is
decided by the Mercy administration.
