Excellence for Life . . .
Mercy Academy provides a wide variety of
activities in which students can become
involved. Activities such as the Mercy Scholars
Diploma Program, Speech and Debate, Drama, Quick
Recall and our Literary Journal provide ways for
students to apply learning beyond the classroom.
The Student Leadership Team, National Honor
Society, Student Development Committee, Pep
Club, and the Social Activities Committee
involve students in leadership development and
activity planning. Special interest clubs such
as Project LIFE, SHOL, Venture Club, Art Club,
and Foreign Language Club give students ways to
pursue activities they enjoy. Through Service
Outreach, Liturgy Planning, Retreat Teams and
Peer Leadership students are involved in
activities that support the school, the church
and the community.
These activities enable students to explore areas
of special interest while developing leadership
and social skills, loyalty and enthusiasm for her
school, problem solving, and responsibility for
planning and implementing activities. Extra-curricular
activities expand learning in the classroom and
provide a total educational experience for the student.
Mercy Academy values these as a vital part of one's
high school experience.
