2024-2025 Back to School Checklist

Please carefully review all of the information on this list and complete necessary steps to make the back to school process as smooth as possible for your family.

We can't wait to see our girls back in the building on Monday, August 12!

  • Update PowerSchool Information
    • Please complete your student's PowerSchool Annual Forms. All forms must be completed by parents/guardians in order to activate student accounts. This must be completed by July 31.
  • Buy Books
    • MBS is open! Use your student's ID number to link her courses. ID numbers can be found in PowerSchool in the A1 Student Information Form. Any additional books needed will be on the booklist listed as iBook only with the link provided.
  • Sign Up for REACH Alert System
    • If you have not already, click this link to subscribe to our REACH Alert system. This is what Mercy uses for emergency/immediate communication such as school closings, delays, etc. We will send out a test alert on August 5th at 12:00 p.m.
  • Register for Retreat
    • This is now in PowerSchool under Class Forms (dates requested will be granted based on earliest registered). Registration is for 10th, 11th and 12th graders. Freshman retreat is integrated into "Freshman Service Days" which take place in September. Freshman parents will receive more information on this in the near future.
  • Student Drivers
    • Remind your student to order her parking pass. If she has one from last year, she will use the same tag. If she needs to order a new or replacement tag, or update her car description, she will need to fill out the parking permit which can be found here. The form is only accessible by students.
  • Quick Reference Guide
    • This is your go-to source of information of frequently asked questions by parents. From uniform questions to early dismissal procedures, we covered the most day-to-day "need to know" information here.
  • Highlights Calendar
    • Please refer to our 2024-2025 Highlights Calendar for the most up to date school schedule. This calendar is subject to change, so please double check before planning trips during the school year. If your student needs additional planned days off, refer to our conditional absence policy in the handbook and quick reference guide (linked above).
  • Carpool
    • Familiarize yourself with our carpool and parking. View our carpool maps and video to prepare for the proper drop-off and pick-up procedures.
  • Medical Forms
    • Complete all necessary medical forms for school
      • Freshmen must have a physical and updated immunization certificate on file for school.
      • All athletes will need the KHSAA physical form completed and turned into the athletic office before tryouts.
      • Medical Authorization forms must be signed by a physician for the carrying of epinephrine pens, inhalers and other prescribed medications. Be sure to turn these forms in before the start of the year.
