Mercy Academy seniors celebrate Senior Sunrise

Mercy Academy seniors celebrate Senior Sunrise

The 2025-2026 school year kicked off with one of Mercy Academy’s most beloved traditions: Senior Sunrise. Held on the first day of school, this annual event is held for the senior class and serves as a meaningful way to mark the beginning of their final year at Mercy.

As the sky began to lighten, the Class of 2026 gathered in the parking lot of Mercy Academy, donuts and juice in hand, to watch the sunrise together. The morning was filled with laughter and plenty of photos as seniors reconnected after summer break and began making new memories.

This annual event serves as not only an early morning get-together, but as a reminder for students to soak in every moment, celebrate friendships and take pride in their collective journeys as Mercy students.

Seniors are also set to participate in an exciting bookend to the event: Senior Sunset. The event will take place on the evening of the last day of school. Just as the sunrise marks the beginning, the sunset will mark the end of their time at Mercy, a reminder of how far they’ve come and a chance to reflect on the memories they’ve made.
