Mercy Academy welcomes new hires through orientation

Mercy Academy welcomes new hires through orientation

Mercy Academy proudly welcomed its newest faculty and staff members during a New Hire Orientation held on July 17 in preparation for the 2025–2026 school year. This annual tradition plays a vital role in helping new team members transition smoothly into the Mercy community, equipping them with the tools and knowledge needed to thrive in their roles.

This year, four new full-time staff members and one long-term substitute teacher were welcomed into the Mercy family. During the orientation, new hires were introduced to Mercy’s core policies and procedures, along with the mission and values inspired by the Sisters of Mercy and founder Catherine McAuley. The orientation also provided in-depth training on the technologies and platforms that support Mercy’s commitment to academic excellence and student success.

The new hires for the upcoming school year are:

  • Sydney Hyde, Science Teacher and Track & Field Coach (middle left)
  • Christina Ashley, Math Teacher (front left)
  • Danielle Timmerberg – Theology Teacher (front right)
  • Todd Toepfer, Math Teacher (back center)
  • Ryan Foster, Director of Technology (middle right)
  • Scott Nethery, Long-Term Substitute Teacher joining in September (not pictured)

Mercy Academy is excited to welcome this group of talented and passionate educators and professionals.
