Steps to Enrollment

1. Shadow or Visit Mercy

Shadowing is one of the best ways to experience our amazing atmosphere at Mercy! Eighth grade students are invited to shadow in the fall and seventh grade students in the spring. During a shadow visit, your student attends classes alongside a Mercy student, meets teachers, enjoys a complimentary lunch, and experiences the Mercy sisterhood! Prior to her shadow day, your student is assigned a Mercy student as her personal tour guide. The pairing is made based on interest, or, if your student knows a Mercy student, you may request for her to be your student's guide.

Taking a personal family tour of Mercy is also a great way to experience our family-like atmosphere. Tours are available Monday-Friday and typically last about an hour (this can be altered to fit your needs). During the visit, your family will see our uniquely designed classrooms, STEM innovation center, state-of-the-art theatre, on-campus athletic facilities and more!

2. Attend Open House

6th, 7th and 8th grade families are invited to join us at Mercy's Open House Saturday, December 4, 2021. Open House is a wonderful opportunity for families to tour our campus, meet current students, and speak personally with our teachers, administrators and coaches about our innovative curriculum and programs.

3. Take the Placement Test at Mercy

The high school placement test is the nationally standardized test that is given by all the Catholic high schools in Louisville. It is required for admission to Mercy Academy. Only eighth-graders are permitted to take the test. The test is given Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. Students are asked to bring two #2 pencils. A make-up test will be given on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. for those who are unable to make the December test.

Mercy offers an extended time version of the test. In order to sign up, parents must contact Dr. Amanda Ables at (502) 671-2010. For those unable to make the original test, a make-up test is offered in January.

4. Attend Registration Night

Registration for the Class of 2026 is in late February. Check back in for the date and time in early 2022. Students receive their class schedule and all the necessary information to join the Mercy family.
