Why Mercy Academy?

This question is difficult. Not because I cannot seem to find an answer, but because I have so much to say! I chose Mercy because of the close community.

Walking through the doors every morning, I am genuinely ecstatic because I know that I will be surrounded by the best girls, teachers, and staff. I have been able to thrive in my studies at Mercy. The teachers at Mercy love what they do, making each class exciting and enjoyable for everyone. Each teacher cares about the education and success of each student.

Some of my best moments here at the academy have been spent in the classroom, building my education. I came into Mercy knowing a handful of people. While at Mercy, I have created such close friendships that will last beyond my high school years.

I chose Mercy because of the Mercy pride each girl carries with her wherever she goes. Every girl that attends this school holds great appreciation and admiration for the Jaguars. Once you're a jag, you're always a jag.

I've fallen in love with Mercy in such a short period of time. I consider everyone at this school my family. I chose Mercy because of the high focus on service and giving back to others. Mercy has allowed me to take my passion for service outside of Louisville.

I had the opportunity to go on a mission trip to the Dominican Republic. Mercy has allowed me to see the world and recognize that my helpful actions can truly change the lives of others.

That being said, Mercy has changed my life. I would not want to be at any other school. Honestly, I cannot imagine myself anywhere else. Mercy is my home away from home. Yes, I did choose Mercy, but I believe that Mercy chose me. When I shadowed Mercy and visited their open house, it clicked for me. I knew they wanted me here and I knew that this is where I wanted to be.

I don't know where I would be without my Mercy sisters. I am immensely proud to call myself a Mercy Academy Jaguar. MERCY PRIDE BE THE BEST; GO JAGS GO!
