Name:  Melissa (Eckenfels) Schoenbachler '99

Subject: Psychology and Health

Years at Mercy: I have completed 10 years.  I just started on my 11th.

Grade School:  St. Raphael

Hobbies: Running, Hiking, Kayaking, Volleyball, Camping, and Cooking.

Favorite Movie: Empire Records

Favorite Song/Artist: Michael Buble

Favorite Lunch at Mercy: Panini and Salad Bar

Favorite Memory as a Mercy Student:

At senior mass, standing in the Circle of Mercy.  It was amazing to be part of something so special.  I knew that night would be my graduation and I would be leaving my home of four years.  I also knew that Mercy would always be home and I would have to find my way back.   My hopes were to share the same Mercy experience I had in high school with future students

Favorite Aspect of Teaching:

Challenging the students to push past their own perceived potential.  I also love it when students let down their guard and show their true self.

Favorite Mercy Tradition:

Hall greetings! It is impossible to walk down the hall without a warm greeting.  I have found this to be true as a student and throughout my years teaching at Mercy.

Wish for Our Students:

My wish for our students is that they remain confident.  I want our students to always be themselves and know that no one else could do it better.  I wish that they always see their real beauty.
