Mercy Ambassadors work as representatives of the school. Students must apply in order to be part of the Mercy Ambassador team. Asian Culture Club is for any student interested in exploring various aspects of Asian culture (traditional or modern). Students will explore topics ranging from traditional Chinese medicine to multicultural origins of Filipino food, to the worldwide popularity of Japanese anime or any cultural practice from any Asian ethnicity. Sophomores, juniors and seniors are invited to be big sisters to our incoming freshman class. They serve as mentors as their little sisters transition into high school. They write letters, participate in fun bonding experiences, and check in with their little sisters throughout the year to make sure they are having a good first year. The Black Student Union is built upon black excellence. Members educate and bring awareness to Mercy and the community by building a diverse community through student held engagements. The overall goal is to learn and be educated about African American culture, background and history.

Book club is for student who enjoy reading books outside of their classroom assignments. Students vote on which book they want to read and talk about at their meetings each month. To learn more, please contact Mrs. Swessel.

Juniors and seniors elect their classmates to serve as Junior and Senior Class Officers for the year. Positions include: President, Vice President and Treasurer. This club is all about discovering the art of crocheting and knitting. Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned pro, all skill levels are welcome. We provide a supportive and creative environment for everyone to explore these crafts and create beautiful handmade items. The Culinary Club is for any student interested in cooking and baking. They learn basic skills in the kitchen and make delicious food. Please contact Mrs. Schoenbachler to learn more.

ESports club is a fun and structured environment for gamers. This club has the potential to grow into an eSports team! Students are asked to bring their own Nintendo Switch and copies of approved game titles such as Mario Kart 8, Super Smash Bro. Deluxe, Platoon 2 and Hearthstone. Fellowship of Mercy Athletes provides all Mercy athletes an opportunity to reach their God-given potential by offering athletic, spiritual and leadership training in a school environment. Please contact Mrs. Mundorf for more information.

Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) is an education association that prepares students for careers in business and business-related fields. Students participate in challenging competitions, and receive career preparation, as well as network with other high school business students from around the state of Kentucky. Our high school intramural sports program offers a fun and inclusive platform for students to participate in a variety of sports and physical activities against eachother. It encourages friendly competition and teamwork, allowing students of all skill levels to enjoy the benefits of sports while fostering a sense of community within the school. The Jags Animal Care Society is works to advance animal welfare protection and champion best practices in prevention, sheltering and placement of companion animals. Often times, the group brings furry friends to the school to learn about fostering, adoption and service animals.

Kentucky United Nations Assembly (KUNA) is a three-day experience in diplomacy that provides students with greater appreciation for our global community through hands-on involvement with international issues and solutions. The conference is geared toward developing students’ international consciousness through role-play as they represent one of the members of the United Nations. Kentucky Youth Association (KYA) is a three-day experiential learning program in which students serve as part of a model state government. KYA offers students the opportunity to learn about a wide variety of issues, develop critical thinking skills, and articulate their beliefs while engaging constructively with their peers from around the Commonwealth. The Latina Culture Club is open to any Mercy student who wants to learn more about Latina culture. Members empower themselves into developing leaders with organizational skills that help to fight injustice and misinformation. Please contact Señor Laspiur or Señora Garcia to learn more.

The Catholic Liturgy Planning Committee is a dedicated group students who organize and coordinate the various elements of our worship services. Committed to preserving the traditions of the Catholic faith, this committee works to ensure that our masses and prayer services are spiritually enriching and meaningful for our Mercy community. Mercy Environmental Ambassadors raise awareness about factors that impact the environment of our Mercy community. Club members are committed to being good stewards of God's creation and taking care of the shared Earth. All are welcome! To learn more, please contact Mrs. Swessel.

Mock trial increases awareness of the legal and justice system. The club develops public speaking skills, teaches members about the legal system, and creates leaders in the courtroom, school and community. To learn more, please contact Mrs. Glaser.

The High School National Honors Society program is an esteemed academic and service-oriented organization that recognizes and celebrates outstanding high school students. Membership is granted to students who have demonstrated excellence in scholarship, leadership, character, and service. As part of this program, students engage in various community service initiatives, leadership development activities, and academic pursuits, fostering a well-rounded and socially responsible approach to education.

Mercy Peer Leaders are a group of students who want to be a positive role models and educate others about the dangers of drugs and alcohol. In the past, members educate their Mercy peers and collaborate with St. X to educate students from St. Martha and St. Stephen Martyr during the school day. Pep Club is an important club that promotes school spirit. They work to plan pep rallies and encourage student participation in a variety of school activities, like sporting events, spirit week, theatre productions and more. Quick Recall is an academic team which meets and competes against other high schools, testing knowledge in areas such as history, math, science and more. It is a great opportunity to develop poise, confidence and public speaking skills. Each member brings her own area of academic interest to the table. Contact Ms. Chapman or Mr. Weston to learn more.

Current Mercy students and alumnae are invited to be Retreat Leaders for retreats they have previously attended. They lead small group discussions, give big group talks and help facilitate the retreats. To get involved as a retreat leader, please email Mrs. Horrell.

The St. Joseph of Arimathea Society lives out the works of mercy to Pray for the Living and the Dead and also to Bury the Dead. Partnered with Meadow View Cemetery, Mercy students have discerned and made commitments to join this ministry in the work of leading burial services, serving as pallbearers, including the deceased in their prayer intentions, fundraising to purchase and place headstones on unmarked graves, and volunteering in education and service needs. The Student Advancement Leadership Team assists the Advancement Office in development and alumnae relations activities. Sophomores, juniors and seniors are invited to apply to be a member. SALT members volunteer for Benefit Off Broadway, assist in planning for the father-daughter and mother-daughter events and help showcase Mercy to alumnae during Reunion Weekend. Student Council is made up of officers elected by the entire student body, and one elected representative from each of the student activities committees. The leadership team coordinates the scheduling of all school activities, plans school-wide events, and represents the student body on administrative committees and in the community. Table Top Club is for any student who wants to come together to play boardgames, cards or other tabletop style games. This is an unplugged gaming group! Please contact Mr. Wiseman or Mrs. DeGrella to learn more.

Mercy's Thespian Society is for students interested in participating or performing in theatre activities outside the two school-wide production. They compete nationally and locally, as well as visit schools in the community to help their students grow their theatre programs. To learn more, please contact Mr. Cooper.

TikTok club is open to any student interested in helping Mercy design, film or edit TikTok videos for Mercy’s social media accounts is invited to join the TikTok club. During meetings, students will create our plan for the month of what videos to make, and who will help on each project. Please contact Ms. Harris to learn more.

The Mercy Underwater Research Team is a group of students who work together to further underwater research by designing, building, and ultimately deploying remote-controlled submarines (also known as ROVs, or remotely operated vehicles). The primary research project is in the pools and waterways deep underground at Mammoth Cave. Team members meet every other week for lab sessions, and approximately once a month (depending on weather) in the fall and spring, they visit the cave for research trips. If you are interested in designing and building submarines, learning more about the geology and biology of cave waters, or both, please contact Dr. Wong or Mr. Burton.

Walk Committee is a group of seniors who help to plan and execute the activities for the Walk Kickoff and Walk Day. Meetings are held July through October. Contact Mrs. Downs to learn more.
