Travel Opportunities

Mercy partners with El Colegio Santa Ethnea, a Mercy school in Buenos Aires, Argentina, to develop the Mercy Ambassador Exchange Program.

Each year, students from Santa Ethnea stay with Mercy students and their families for four weeks in January or February. They come to school with our students and participate in retreats, school activities, service, etc. In June, our Mercy students then travel to Buenos Aires to participate in similar activities at Santa Ethnea for four weeks.

This is an incredible program to develop language and cultural study, while providing an opportunity for deeper understanding of the far-reaching mission and charism of the Sisters of Mercy.

Mercy partners with Trinity High School for a scientific research trip in Costa Rica during the summer. Over the course of 10 days, students design and implement their own unique research projects, all while exploring their beautiful surroundings!

This is a great opportunity for those who enjoy working in the environment and learning more about science.

We offer two trips to New York City for our seniors each year. The three-day trip is jam-packed with fun activities to bond with classmates and to explore a new city.

Highlights of the trip include visits to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, Times Square, Top of the Rockefeller Plaza, Grand Central Station, NBC Studio, 9/11 Memorial and Museum, Central Park, Chinatown and Little Italy, along with Mass at St. Patrick's Cathedral and a walking tour of the Financial District.

This high-energy weekend is a favorite memory for Mercy students year after year.

summer 2023

Students involved in Mercy’s theatre department participated in the world-renowned Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland. This is the world’s largest international theatre festival with the American High School Theatre Festival, and Mercy is proud to have been selected to perform for the second time! Students experienced the transformation of the whole city to a stage. Visitors viewed performances everywhere from playgrounds to conference rooms and from city parks to churches, as 3,000 different performers showcased their talents.

A large group of Mercy students explored France during a 12-day adventure. They visited historic places such as the French riviera, Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame Cathedral, walked through beautiful chateaus, gardens and museums and relaxed on a cruise along the Seine River.

A group of students flew across the pond for an 11-day European excursion in Ireland and England. They visited the Blarney Castle, Ring of Kerry, International Mercy Centre, Shakespeare's birthplace, Big Ben and so much more. his trip was full of awe inspiring art, architecture and countryside landscapes.

summer 2024

Mercy students are invited to take a 10-day trip to Switzerland and Italy. They will enjoy a fondue night in the Swiss Alps, take a gondola ride in Venice, visit the Vatican in Rome and more!

summer 2025

Mercy is headed to Japan where students will visit Tokyo and surrounding cities for 9 days with a focus on engineering, robotics and the future of cities. They will explore the Shibuya District, ascend the Tokyo Skytree, explore the Space Dome at JAXA, learn about hybrid assistive limb technology at Cyberdyne Studios and visit other STEM focused areas. The trip will also take in many cultural elements such as traveling to Mount Fuji, participating in a traditional Japanese tea ceremony, and preparing dinner with the help of a local Japanese chef.
